Dynamic rendering intent
Command WorkStation analyzes the job's colors and determines whether they can be accurately reproduced on the selected printer.
Based on the analysis, Command WorkStation applies the most appropriate rendering intent for the job.
Result of job analysis | Applied rendering intent | Description |
All colors are within the printer's reproducible gamut | Relative colorimetric | This rendering intent reproduces the exact colors of the job and no gamut compression is necessary. |
Some colors are outside the reproducible gamut of the output device | Perceptual | This rendering intent compresses the colors of the job so that all colors can be printed without gamut clipping. |
The simulation profile takes precedence over the source profile. If a simulation profile is selected, Command WorkStation applies the dynamic rendering intent for the simulation profile. Otherwise, Command WorkStation applies the rendering intent for the appropriate source profile.
