In the Preferences dialog box, you can make general settings that are applied to all new custom spot colors that you create.

1. In Color Editor: On the toolbar, click Preferences.
2. Make your desired settings on the following tabs:

   • Color Definition—Select overprint characteristics, and make white point, and dE settings.

   • Measurement and Display—Select a measuring device, and make settings related to light conditions and monitor profiles.

   • Gradation—Modify the brightness of a spot color’s gradients.
