Print separated jobs
You can print each ink color as a separate job. For example, a job composed of CMYK inks will print four pages. Each separation will print only those areas that contain the particular ink color.
- In Server Manager: On the sidebar, click Printers, and select a printer. In the printer's tree view, select a workflow. On the Printer tab, expand the Print Settings panel.
- Click Advanced Settings.
-
Under Separations, select an item:
- Merge separations—Prints jobs as traditional full-color output. This is the default setting.
- Color separations—Forces jobs to be printed one color at a time. When printed on transparent media, the individual sheets can placed one on top of the other to create a traditional proof.
- Grayed separations—Prints each ink channel separately, but as grayscale output.
- Click OK.
