Jobs with industry-standard cut contours in known spot colors are processed automatically. If your jobs contain non-standard cut contour names or unknown spot colors, you must select them in Command WorkStation.

1. In Job Editor: On the Finishing tab, expand the Marks panel. In the panel header bar, select the check box to activate the settings.
2. Select Cut marks.
3. Click Contour Cutting, and select Extract contour path from EPS/PDF.

   The Contour Cutting dialog box shows the job’s cut contours. Command WorkStation can only extract cut contours with a scissor icon next to them.

   A spot color with a scissor icon, but no color patch next to it, indicates that Command WorkStation can detect the cut contour but its spot color is unknown. On the Color tab, expand the Spot Colors panel, and define the spot color. Then, in the Contour Cutting dialog box, select the check box next to the color patch.

   A spot color with no scissor icon indicates that Command WorkStation can detect the spot color, but it has not been defined as a cut contour. Select the check box next to the color patch.
