Job Groups

The Job Groups feature groups multiple jobs into a single job in Command WorkStation. The order of jobs in the groups is the order that the jobs will be printed.

Note: The Job Groups feature is supported on a Fiery server with Fiery system software FS600/600 Pro or later.
You can select from two types of job groups:
  • Print Group - allows you to print jobs in a specified order with different job properties. When you apply job properties to the Print Group parent, the job properties from the parent will override the job properties from the child jobs. However, the Copies print option will not be overridden as it sets how many copies of the Print Group to print.
Note: Print Group parents are virtual jobs that cannot be imposed or edited with other plug-ins. Because Print Group parent jobs are virtual jobs, they do not change their job status, such as showing a change in status from Spooled to Processed states. Instead, the child jobs do change status as appropriate.
  • PDF Group - combines PDFs into a single PDF job. Job properties cannot be selected or applied to child jobs after the PDF Group is created. The PDF Group can be printed or prepared with Fiery Impose, Fiery Compose, or Fiery JobMaster.

For more information on imposing a PDF Group, see Fiery JobMaster-Fiery Impose-Fiery Compose Help.

Note: When you create a PDF Group, the child jobs will not retain their individual job properties. The parent job in the PDF Group will appear as a newly imported job.
