Import and export custom color groups

You can export custom color groups from the Fiery server to your computer as ICC files. You can import custom color groups from your computer to the Fiery server.

Imported color groups are added to the spot color group list and are immediately available for use on the Fiery server.

Import a custom color group

To support spot color definitions in addition to those provided on the Fiery server, you can import a named color profile from your computer as a custom color group.

  1. Open Device Center in one of the following ways:
    • Click the More icon (three vertical dots) next to the server name in the Servers pane.
    • Double-click the server name in the Servers pane.
    • Click Server > Device Center.
    • Right-click the server name and select Device Center.
  2. Click Spot Colors under Resources.
  3. Select the location in the color group list where you want to add the imported color group.
  4. Click Import.
  5. Locate and select the desired color group.

    You can only import ICC files that were exported from Spot Pro.

  6. Click Open.

The imported group is added to the color group list above the previously selected group, where it has priority over the groups below it. If the imported group shares a name with an existing group in the list, you will be prompted to rename the imported group.

Export a custom color group

To share a custom color group with another Fiery server, you can export the group to a local copy that you can import to another Fiery server. You cannot export a locked color group.

  1. Open Device Center in one of the following ways:
    • Click the More icon (three vertical dots) next to the server name in the Servers pane.
    • Double-click the server name in the Servers pane.
    • Click Server > Device Center.
    • Right-click the server name and select Device Center.
  2. Click Spot Colors under Resources.
  3. Select the color group that you want to export.
  4. Click Export.
  5. Type a name for the file and select a file type.
  6. Browse to the location where you want to save the file and click Save.
