Spot color variations

You can print a selected spot color and a number of neighboring colors with hues that vary slightly from the original spot color. You can choose a spot color variation that better matches the desired visual appearance of the spot color to replace the original spot color in your jobs.

You can use spot color variations to make a better visual match and correct for deviations from the current calibration and limitations of the output profile.

When you create spot color variations, Spot Pro displays an octagon of the original spot color with color arrows you can click to adjust the original spot color in the hue directions of cyan, green, yellow, orange, red, magenta, violet, and blue. You can click the black and white arrows to adjust the lightness of the original spot color.
