Device Center

Command WorkStation shows system information in a single workspace. You can use Device Center to configure the connected Fiery server and access various print management tools.

To access Device Center, click the More icon (three dots) and select Device Center, or double-click the Fiery server name in the Servers list.

You can use Device Center to do the following tasks:

  • View information about the connected Fiery server, including information about consumables on the associated printer.

  • Set color defaults.

  • View and modify Paper Catalog or Media Catalog, variable data printing (VDP), color profiles, spot color tables, and font settings.

  • View and create available virtual printers and server presets, and automate image correction with Image Enhance settings.

  • View a detailed log of all processed and printed jobs.

Device Center includes the following settings:

  • General - shows information about the connected Fiery server, including the IP address, capacity (amount of hard disk drive space available), and a list of installed options and packages. The General section includes the following features: General Info, Server Configuration, and Tools.

  • Color Setup - includes Color Management and may include Control Bar, Trapping, and Halftone Simulation, if these features are supported by the connected Fiery server.

  • Resources - allows you to view and modify Paper Catalog or Media Catalog, variable data printing (VDP), color profiles, spot color tables, and font settings. The Resources section includes VDP Resources, Profiles, and Fonts and may include the Paper Catalog or Media Catalog, Specialty Colors, and Spot Pro if these features are supported by the connected Fiery server.

  • Workflows - allows you to view a list of available virtual printers and server presets and automate the correction of images with Image Enhance settings. The Workflows section includes the following: Job Presets, Virtual Printers, and Image Enhance.

  • Logs - displays a detailed log of all processed and printed jobs. The Logs tab includes the Job Log tab.

  • Fiery Updates - allows you to view and install the available updates and patches for your Fiery server and view the history of completed updates and patches. The Fiery Updates section includes Updates, Patches, and History.
