Fiery Preflight Pro

You can use the Fiery Preflight Pro feature to check jobs for conformity to a set of standards defined in a selected preset.

Preflight Pro is available only on Windows-based Fiery servers with Fiery system software FS500 Pro or later. Preflight Pro is enabled only if the Fiery Graphic Arts Pro Package is activated on the Fiery server.

You can use Fiery Preflight Pro to check these types of jobs:
  • PDF
  • PDF/VT
  • FreeForm Plus (FS600 and later)

The checks performed by Preflight Pro are based on the settings defined in a selected preset. Presets can be applied to spooled, and processed jobs. Preflight Pro generates a report to capture the errors and warnings in the jobs, if the jobs deviate from the standards defined in the preset.

Note: Preflight Pro is applicable only to PDF, PDF/VT, and FreeForm Plus jobs. Preflighting of all non-PDF file types is done using Preflight.

To access Preflight Pro, you must log in to Command WorkStation with Administrator or Operator access. Right-click a spooled or processed job in Command WorkStation Job Center and select Preflight Pro. You can also preflight jobs that are submitted from Fiery Hot Folders or virtual printers.
