Spot Pro can automatically measure and optimize one
or more selected spot colors using a qualified inline spectrophotometer color measurement
device. Automatic optimization may reduce the color difference (∆E) and provide a better
colorimetric match. You can optimize custom spot colors and spot colors from the internal
spot color library.
Spot Pro requires a qualified inline spectrophotometer color measurement
device.
-
In Spot Pro, select one or
more spot colors or a spot color group.
-
Click Optimize, then select
Automatic.
-
In the Automatic settings window, select whether to
optimize Selected colors only or All spot
colors.
-
If selecting All spot colors, choose to apply
optimization to one of the following options:
- All spot colors in this
group
- Only the selected spot
colors
- All spot colors in all
groups
-
Specify the number of iterations to perform, between 1 and 5.
-
Select a paper or media source and click OK.
Spot
Pro prints and measures each iteration and generates the
Fiery Spot Color Report. The report indicates the
ΔE measurements for each spot color and provides statistics including the
average ΔE and maximum ΔE values.
-
You can save the Fiery Spot Color Report as either a PDF file or an HTML file.
To save the report, do the following:
-
From the Fiery Spot Color Report window, select
Save Report.
-
Select the location to save the report.
-
Rename the report file name or accept the default file name.
-
Select PDF File or HTML
File for the file type and click
Save.
