Configure scan settings

If your Fiery Server supports scanning, you can configure settings for scan jobs, including the destination, default file format, and frequency of deletions.

Important: There are two versions of Configure and they are specific to the Fiery Server you are connected to. This is a combined procedure that describes what to do when connected to a Fiery Server with FS100/100Pro or earlier, and notes about what to do with FS150/150 Pro or later. If you are not sure which version of Configure you are using, see Which version of Configure am I using?.
  1. From Configure, choose Network > Services > Scan.
Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150, you can find settings mentioned in this procedure in Scan instead.
  2. Select Enable Scan.
Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, select Enable document scanning from the glass or document feeder instead.
  3. Select the destination for scan jobs.

If you selected FTP and use a proxy server, select Enable Proxy and type the relevant information in the fields for Proxy Server, Port, User Name, and User Password.

Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, click the Configure Proxy Settings link instead.
  4. Choose the default file format for scan jobs.
  5. Choose the frequency with which the Fiery Server clears scan jobs.
  6. Apply or save your changes.
