Server Presets
Server Presets provide a consistent set of printing options that all users can use. Users can save Local Presets to their computer, but only an Administrator can save, edit, publish, and delete Server Presets.
Server Presets are accessible from:
-
Command WorkStation (select , and from )
-
Hot Folders (see Hot Folders Help)
-
Virtual Printers (see Virtual printers)
-
Windows and Mac OS X printer drivers
An Administrator can create Hot Folders and virtual printers based on a Server Preset. Editing the Server Preset also changes the settings for those Hot Folders and virtual printers.
Archived jobs with Server Presets
Archived jobs retain the job information and the preset name. When an archived job is restored to the same Fiery Server or Fiery Central Server from which it was created, the Server Preset is shown in the Presets column header for any of the Job Center windows, such as Processing and Printing.
Tracking edited presets
If a Server Preset was modified after it was applied to a held, printed, or archived job, the Preset name is marked with an asterisk (*). In other words, the preset was edited by an Administrator since the job was submitted. To use the latest settings, re-apply the preset to the job.
If the Presets column header was added to any of the Job Center windows (Printing, Processing, Held, Printed, or Archived), the asterisk and job name are displayed in the Presets column.
