Configure Web services and IPP printing

Enabling Web services allows users to use WebTools. TCP/IP must be enabled on the Fiery Server and user computers. Each computer must also have a Java-enabled Web browser installed and a valid IP address or DNS host name.

Important: There are two versions of Configure and they are specific to the Fiery Server you are connected to. This is a combined procedure that describes what to do when connected to a Fiery Server with FS100/100Pro or earlier, and notes about what to do with FS150/150 Pro or later. If you are not sure which version of Configure you are using, see Which version of Configure am I using?.

After enabling Web services, you can enable Internet Printing Protocol (IPP).

For information about browser and computer requirements, see Configuration and Setup; for information about setting up user computers to use IPP printing, see Printing. These documents are part of the user documentation set.

  1. From Configure, choose Network > Services > Web.
  2. Select or clear Enable Web Services.
Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro or later, you may not be able to access Web Services using Configure and may need to use the printer control panel to enable or disable Web Services.
  3. Select or clear Enable IPP.
Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, in Job Submission, select the IPP check box.
  4. Apply or save your changes.
