For the Fiery Server to obtain its IP address
automatically, you make specifications about the protocol. You can have the Fiery Server obtain the gateway address automatically or manually.
Important: There are two versions of
Configure and they are specific to the
Fiery Server you are connected to. This is a combined procedure that
describes what to do when connected to a
Fiery Server with FS100/100Pro or earlier, and notes about what to do
with FS150/150 Pro or later. If you are not sure which version of Configure
you are using, see
Which version of Configure am I using?.

Note: If you are connected to a
Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, you can find settings mentioned in this
procedure in the following locations instead:
- In the Select IPv4 Address section, select automatically.
Note: This setting can obtain both the IP address and
gateway address for the Fiery Server, or you can choose to set the
gateway address manually.
Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, select Automatic instead.
- If your network uses IPv6 addresses, select Enable IPv6.
Note: While it may be possible to disable IPv4 and enable IPv6,
IPv4 must be enabled for IPv6 to work.
Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, click and select Enable IPv6 Address instead.
- Choose whether to obtain the gateway address automatically
or manually.
Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, you must perform this action from
. Configure IP Address must be set to
Manual first and your must type an IP address in the Default
Gateway field manually.
- Apply or save your changes.
