Preset print settings

A preset is a collection of print settings in the Job Properties window that you can access at a later time.

Server Presets can be accessed from Job Properties and printer drivers, and they can be applied to workflows such as Hot Folders and Virtual Printers.

Job presets are listed in the Presets drop-down menu in the Job Properties window. You can select one of the job presets from the list, or create a new preset based upon the current options selected in the Job Properties window. If a job is not currently using a preset, the preset field is blank. All properties display the initial default settings. When you select a job preset, all settings are updated to reflect the saved preset. If you change any print settings, the Presets list reverts to blank.

There are two types of job presets:

  • Local Presets – Saved on the user's local computer, and not shared with other users.

  • Server Presets – Saved on the Fiery Server or Fiery Central Server and shared with other users of the Fiery Server or Fiery Central Server.

Applying presets

Job presets can be applied using one of the following methods:

  • Import a job into Command WorkStation using File > Import Job or the Import toolbar icon in Job Center. You can then select Apply workflow and then select from the list of presets in the File(s) to import window.
  • Select a job in the Held/Printed/Archived pane in Job Center and click the Properties toolbar icon. Select a Local or Server Preset from the Presets list.
  • Right-click a job in the Held/Printed/Archived pane in Job Center, select Apply Workflow and then select a preset from the list.
