Change presets for print jobs

You can choose a different preset to apply to all jobs. You can also edit or rename a preset, delete a local preset, or revert to the default preset.

You work with presets in the Job Properties window. To display it, double-click a job in the Held or Printed list, or select the job and click Job Center > Properties.

Choose a different preset

You can change the current set of print options to another preset.

In the Job Properties window, under Presets, select a different preset.

The preset is used until you select another one, or make further changes to Job Properties.

Edit a preset

A preset includes most print options that you set in the Job Properties window. You can override a setting in the Job Properties window after choosing a preset.

  1. In the Job Properties window, under Presets, select Manage Local Presets.
  2. Select the preset you want to edit, and change the print settings.

    The Presets field becomes blank.

  3. Select Save Preset from the Presets list.
  4. Type the same preset name, specify Local Preset or Server Preset, and then click OK to save the preset.
  5. Click OK to replace the current preset of the same name.

Delete a Local Preset

You can delete a local preset with the Manage Local Presets feature in the Job Properties window.

  1. In the Job Properties window, under Presets, select Manage Local Presets.
  2. Select a preset and click Delete.

Rename a preset

You can rename a local preset with the Manage Local Presets feature in the Job Properties window.

  1. In the Job Properties window, under Presets, select Manage Local Presets.
  2. Select a preset and click Rename.
  3. Enter a descriptive name for the preset and click Save.

Revert to the default preset

You can apply the default preset to a job to revert the print options to their default settings.

In the Job Properties window, under Presets, select Printer's Default.
