Configure LPD

You can configure Line Printer Daemon (LPD) printing.

For LPD printing, you must enable TCP/IP on the Fiery Server

Important: There are two versions of Configure and they are specific to the Fiery Server you are connected to. This is a combined procedure that describes what to do when connected to a Fiery Server with FS100/100Pro or earlier, and notes about what to do with FS150/150 Pro or later. If you are not sure which version of Configure you are using, see Which version of Configure am I using?.
  1. From Configure, choose Network > Services > LPD.
Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, you can find the settings mentioned in this procedure in Job Submission > LPD instead.
  2. Select Enable LPD Printing.
Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, select Enable.
  3. Select the print connection on the Fiery Server to which LPD jobs are sent.

In addition to the standard print connections Print queue and Hold queue, published virtual printers (if supported by your Fiery Server) are also listed.

  4. Apply or save your changes.
