Set TCP/IP addresses for the Fiery server manually

When you set TCP/IP addresses manually, you specify the IP address, subnet address, and make specifications about the gateway address.

Important: There are two versions of Configure and they are specific to the Fiery Server you are connected to. This is a combined procedure that describes what to do when connected to a Fiery Server with FS100/100Pro or earlier, and notes about what to do with FS150/150 Pro or later. If you are not sure which version of Configure you are using, see Which version of Configure am I using?.
  1. From Configure, choose Network > Protocol > TCP/IP > Ethernet.
Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, you can find settings mentioned in this procedure in the following locations instead:
    • Network > IPv4 Address
    • Network > IPv6 Address
    instead.
  2. In the Select IPv4 address, section, select manually.
Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, select Manual instead.
  3. Type the IP address and subnet address in the respective fields.
  4. If your network uses IPv6 addresses, select Enable IPv6.
Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, click Network > IPv6 Address and select Enable IPv6 Address instead.
  5. Select one of the following in the Select Gateway address section:
    • Automatically - The Fiery Server obtains a gateway address automatically.

    • Manually - Type an IP address for the gateway in the IP Address field.

Note: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS150/150Pro, you must perform this action from Network > IPv4 Address. Configure IP Address must be set to Manual first and your must type an IP address in the Default Gateway field manually.
  6. Apply or save your changes.
