Create new users (FS100/100Pro)

If users are not in the global address list or contact list, you can create them manually. Any name that appears in the contact list can become a user that you assign to a group.

Important: If you are connected to a Fiery Server with FS100/100 Pro or earlier, use this procedure. If you are not sure about which version of Configure you are using, see Which version of Configure am I using?. An alternative procedure about what to do with FS150/150Pro is available.

The Administrators and Operators groups have a default user named "admin" or "operator," respectively.

From Configure, select Users and Groups.
Click Contact List.
You can define a password when you create a new user. Follow your organization’s guidelines for the minimum length of the password and for the frequency with which it must be changed.
Click Add.
Type the appropriate information in the fields, and click Save.
Note: To create several users in succession, click Save and Add.
