Media Catalog is a system-based paper (media) warehouse database that can store attributes of any media available in a production print shop.

Media Catalog is installed by default with Command WorkStation. The Media Catalog resides on the Fiery server and is not affected when you reboot or clear the Fiery server.

To set up and manage Media Catalog, you must log in to Command WorkStation with Administrator access. After the Media Catalog is set up, you can modify the media catalog entries.

To select a media for a job, in Command WorkStation, select a job and click Properties > Media, and then select an entry from the media catalog. Media catalog entries are listed alphabetically in the Media Catalog list.

Each media catalog entry is associated with a specific output profile. When you create a new media catalog entry, you can associate the media catalog entry with either an existing profile or create a new profile.
