Fiery JDF contains an enablement mechanism to test and certify JDF-submitting applications. The specific JDF-submitting applications are turned on for Fiery JDF either in the Fiery server or by a JMF (Job Messaging Format) message sent from the JDF-submitting application.

If a JDF-submitting application has not been turned on, the following indicators alert users to jobs from applications not yet tested and supported:

• A warning status message is displayed for the job in the Command WorkStation job list.

• A warning message is displayed in the JDF Details window.

• A JMF comment is returned to the JDF-submitting application with information on how to certify the application.
