You turn on smart media in the Media Catalog Settings dialog box.

1. Do one of the following:

   • In Device Center, choose Media Catalog under Resources.

   • Choose Server > Media Catalog.

   • Click the Media Catalog icon in the Job Center toolbar.

   • Right-click the Fiery server in the Servers list and select Media Catalog.
2. Click the Settings button.
3. Select PPD based.
   Note: JDF based media attributes cannot be used when defining smart media.
4. If Enable Smart Media is not selected, select it.
5. Click Close or Manage.
