You can update Fiery server system
software from a client computer or locally at the Fiery
server.
You will need the Fiery server name or IP address to
connect to the Fiery server in
Command WorkStation.
Note: The client computer must have an active
internet connection to perform the Fiery
server system updates.
Note: For best results, install updates and
patches when no jobs or actions are in progress on the Fiery server or in Command WorkStation.

Start Command WorkStation.

Open Device Center in one
of the following ways:
- Click the More icon (three vertical dots)
next to the server name in the Servers pane.
- Double-click the server name in the Servers pane.
- Click .
- Right-click the server name and select Device Center.

In Device Center, click .

To view and install the
available updates, click Updates under
Fiery Updates, then click
Update in the right pane for each update you want to
install.

To view the available patches,
click Patches under Fiery
Updates.

Select the patches to
install.
Any required patches will be automatically selected when you select a
patch.

If a message about Fiery API
displays, click OK to install Fiery API.
Fiery API is required to perform patch installations with Fiery Updates.

Click
Update to install the selected patches.
The Fiery server must be restarted
after installing every Exclusive patch.
Note: You can install multiple
non-exclusive patches along with each exclusive patch.

Click
OK to restart the Fiery
server after installing updates and patches.
Note: After the restart, the administrator must
reconnect to the Fiery server in Command WorkStation.
Note: Command WorkStation connected to a Fiery server displays a
notification when the patch installation is in progress.

To view a list of the installed
updates and patches, click History under
Fiery Updates.
