Job Editor window

Job Editor allows you to preview and edit your job before printing.

The menu bar provides the following menus:
  • File - Options to save, process, print, and cancel jobs. You can also close Job Editor from this menu.
  • Edit - Options to undo or redo a performed action. To temporarily override the default unit of measurement, select Measurement Unit.
    Note: You can specify the default unit of measurement in Job Center. Click Edit > Preferences, and in the Region tab, select Measurement units.
  • View - Options to scale the view of the image. These viewing options also have corresponding icons in the lower-right corner of the window. Settings such as Snap To and Visual Aids that help with job alignment on the substrate are also available.
  • Template - Options to save, manage, and apply templates. Templates are created from predefined settings for a job. Templates are categorized as Normal, Step and Repeat, or Nesting, according to the settings that have been applied.
  • Help - Opens the Job Editor Help.
The following tabs are available on the right side of the Job Editor window:
  • Job Info - The Job Information pane shows the job name, ID number, size, color mode, print resolution, corrected substrate size, and selected template. You can capture job-specific information in the Job Notes area.
  • Layout - On the Step and Repeat pane, you can create multiple copies (clones) of a job and apply flip, offset, rotate, and drop settings to design seamless repeat patterns required in the textile industry.
  • Substrate - The Substrate Settings pane allows you to select a job-specific substrate that overrides the setting configured in Job Properties.
  • Printer - On the Print Settings pane, you can specify the required number of print copies, a print length, or a print range.
    Note: Print range settings are only available for a multipage job.
The toolbar provides the following controls:
  • Save - Saves the job with its current settings.
  • Transform tool - Activates the scaling, positioning, rotate, flip, and margin settings.
  • Crop tool - Activates the settings that enable you to select a focal point of an image and remove unwanted space around it.
  • Pan tool - Moves the job around the window.
  • Zoom tool - Zooms in and out.
  • Undo - Reverts the last performed action.
  • Redo - Performs or repeats the last undone action.
The status bar provides the following controls:
  • Connected to - Displays the IP address of the connected Fiery server.
  • Job Info - Provides a quick view of the details and settings specified for the job.
  • Page navigation - Navigates through the pages of the job.
  • Scaling options - Scales the view to the required size.

    Options include zoom controls and icons for Fit to Window, Actual Size, Fit to Width, and Fit to Selection.
