Nesting layout options in Job Editor
By default, jobs are arranged in the most space-saving manner. By overriding the default settings, you can prevent job rotation and arrange jobs to facilitate cutting after printing.
The following table describes the options in the
Nesting pane of the Layout tab for
arrangement of the parent job:

Cut Edges Horizontally | Arranges jobs so media can be cut horizontally | |
Cut Edges Vertically | Arranges jobs so media can be cut vertically | |
Cut Edges Horizontally and Vertically | Arranges jobs so media can be cut both horizontally and vertically | |
Orientation | Automatic | Arranges jobs in any orientation to make maximum use of the media |
Portrait | Arranges jobs in portrait orientation | |
Landscape | Arranges jobs in landscape orientation | |
Maintain orientation | Maintains the orientation of the source jobs | |
Uniform Scaling | On or Off (check box) On enables Width and Height fields |
Type a width and height to scale all pages to the same size |
Spacing | Width and Height fields | Defines a horizontal and vertical distance between jobs |
Options are available for the child jobs and their clones in the Child Job Information pane and toolbar. You can also select settings from the transformation toolbar.
