Administrators can create virtual printers using step and repeat
templates.
For more information on
virtual printers, see Virtual
printers. This procedure focuses on the information
necessary for creating a step and repeat virtual printer.

To create a virtual printer, open Device Center. Select Virtual
Printers under Workflows, and click
New in the Virtual Printers
window.

Specify the following:

Printer Name - This is the
alphanumeric name of the virtual printer.
Note: Once a virtual printer
has been created or duplicated, its name cannot be changed, although the
print settings can be changed.

Description - Add or modify comments
to describe the virtual printer to users, for example,
company brochure.

Job
Actions - Select one of the Fiery server actions, such
as Hold or Process and
Hold.

Job Properties - Select
Define to open the Job
Properties window. In the Layout
tab, select a step and repeat template from the Job Editor
Template menu. Specify other print settings.
Note: You can lock any job
setting by clicking the lock icon.
