Optimization charts
Different chart layouts are available. It is recommended that you print and measure the same chart that you used to create the media profile.

46—A simple control bar with 46 color patches. It is small enough to fit on every printout.

928 (IT8 7/3)—Prints 928 color patches.

1485 (ECI 2002)—Prints 1485 color-sorted patches. Using this chart creates a better quality of media profile, due to the higher number of patches. Select this chart to optimize to the ISO standard.

1485 random (ECI 2002)—Prints 1485 randomly positioned color patches. Using this chart creates a better quality of media profile, due to the higher number of patches. Select this chart to optimize to the ISO standard.

1617 (CGATS IT8.7/4)—Prints 1617 color-sorted patches. It forms the basis for the DIN ISO norm 12647-7. A chart with 1617 color patches is needed for Fogra certification or G7 processes. This chart is used at Fiery to create media profiles for inkjet printers.

- 1617 (CGATS IT8.7/5)—Prints 1617 color-sorted patches. The 1617 target is a CMYK printer characterization target combining the unique patch values in the standard IT8.7/4 target with all the patch values in columns 4 and 5 of the P2P51 target.
