Select FAST RIP
FAST RIP is activated by default. It ensures that you achieve the best possible printing result in the fastest possible time. Normally, you should leave FAST RIP activated. However, if FAST RIP has been deactivated, you can reselect it.
FAST RIP stands for Fiery Accelerated System Technology. Command WorkStation requires 8 GB of RAM per instance of FAST RIP. Therefore, if your computer has 32 GB of RAM, the software can process four jobs simultaneously.
When used in conjunction with dynamic smoothing, FAST RIP corrects the gradations of vector data defined in the graphics program if they are printed with undesirable line edge artifacts. Such artifacts can occur because of bit-depth limitations of the processing process.
- In Server Manager: On the sidebar, click Server, and then click Server Info & Configuration.
- Under General settings, select FAST RIP.
