Set Fiery XF folders

You can move some Fiery XF folders to different local partitions or external devices using Universal Naming Convention paths to free up space on your installation drive. Folders you can move include media profiles, temporary CPSI and APPE data, output files, the JDF folder, and backup folders.

Ensure the Fiery server is not running.

UNC paths are specified as follows: \\<Servername or IP address>\<shared folder name or path>.

When using UNC paths, you must use login credentials. These credentials must remain valid even when the user is logged out of the device or the Fiery server will stop working.

  1. Right-click Fiery Server Control, and then click Server File Paths.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Click the appropriate Choose button, and browse to the new folder.
    • Copy and paste the UNC path from Windows Explorer, and enter the login credentials.
Note: If you use a UNC path, you must use the same login credentials in Fiery Server Control and Windows Explorer. You can use identical credentials for all folders, if needed.
  3. If you used the UNC path in the previous step, copy the files from the previous file location to the new file location.
Note: If you choose a local path, Fiery Server Control will automatically move the files to the new location. Progress will be indicated by a progress bar.
  4. Restart the Fiery server.
    Note:

The JDF output folder cannot be set to a network drive.
