Download cutter materials using the Cutter Material Database Connector

The Fiery Server Control allows you to download cutter material information from the EUROSYSTEM OptiScout Material server and the Zünd Cut Center.

  1. Set up an L3/D3/S3/G3 Zünd cutter using an IP connection or a EUROSYSTEM OptiScout 8 driven cutter in Server Manager under Workflows > Finishing.
  2. Save your changes.
  3. Shut down the Fiery XF server by using the Fiery Server Control.
  4. When the Fiery XF server is off, select the Fiery Cutter Material Database Connector option from the Configuration pane in the Fiery Server Control.
  5. Type the IP address and port of the computer and the database from EUROSYSTEM or Zünd in the window.

The related-port settings can be found in the vendor database. Usually, it is port 51001.

  6. Select the database type and click the Get cutter materials button to start downloading.
  7. After successfully downloading the cutter material information, restart the Fiery XF server using the Fiery Server Control.

The Fiery XF server will connect at startup time to receive the cutter materials with the previously connected workflows for the mentioned cutters. This workflow allows you to select suitable material for each cut job inside the Contour Cutting window accessible on the Finishing pane in the Fiery XF Server Manager and Fiery XF Job Editor.

By selecting a related cutter material, jobs sent from the Fiery XF server to the Zünd Cut Center or EUROSYSTEM OptiScout 8 Material server will be ready to cut and do not require any material assigned on the cutter front-end.

The Fiery XF server allows you to connect to multiple Zünd Cut Centers in parallel using different IP addresses or ports but restricts using only one EUROSYSTEM OptiScout 8 Material server.
