Compare reference and sample colors in Fiery Verify

You can use the standalone verification tool for print-to-print comparison, and profile-to-profile comparison.

Before you begin, connect your measuring device to the computer if you want to verify the color accuracy of a printout.
Fiery Verify supports .txt and .it8 file formats. The sample and reference files must contain valid CGATS data.
  1. In Job Center, in the toolbar, click Verifier.

    Fiery Verify starts.

  2. Select File > New comparison.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Select Comparison > Load reference. Select a file, such as a reference profile, and then click Open.
    • Select Comparison > Measure reference, and measure the control bar on your first printout.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Select Comparison > Load sample. Select a file, such as a Fogra reference, and then click Open.
    • Select Comparison > Measure sample, and measure the control bar on your second printout.
  5. Select the appropriate tolerance set for your workflow.

For more information on tolerance sets, see Tolerance presets.

  6. Do one of the following to save the results of the verification comparison as a PDF file (optional):
    • Click Report.
    • Select File > Export to PDF > Report.
  7. Click Label to display the verification results in your browser (optional).

The label includes all the criteria that are required to verify ISO 12647-7,12647-8, G7, or Fogra PSD Print Check compliance. You can print out the label on your default printer.
