Install Universal Driver

The Fiery XF Universal Driver is provided as an online update. Universal Driver is not installed by default.

  1. Download the Fiery XF Universal Driver to the computer on which the graphics program is installed.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Windows: Double-click Fiery XF Universal Driver.exe.
    • Mac: Double-click Fiery Universal Driver.pkg or Fiery Universal Driver.tgz, and then double-click Install Fiery XF Universal Driver.
    To install the Fiery XF Universal Driver, you must have administrator privileges. Consult your system administrator if you require further assistance.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
You must now configure Universal Driver as a printer in the operating system. For more information, see the operating system's online help, or ask your system administrator.
Note: Universal Driver is automatically configured and selected as the default printer if you installed it on the same computer as the Fiery XF server.
