When a substrate catalog is exported, it is saved as an .xml file and can be
imported back into Substrate Catalog at any time.
Before you replace your Substrate
Catalog or reinstall system software, we recommend that you first back up your
existing catalog by exporting it to a remote location. You can choose to export all
entries or a subset.
-
In the Substrate
Catalog window, click Export in the toolbar and choose Export All....
If you only want
to export some of the media entries, you can select multiple entries in the
Substrate Catalog and choose Export
Selected.... You can Shift-click to select sequential
entries, or Ctrl-click to select nonsequential entries.
-
Navigate to the location on your
computer or network where you want to save the exported file.
-
Enter a name for the exported
file; then click Save.
The exported Substrate Catalog is
saved as an .xml file.
