Job Editor templates

Predefined settings in Job Editor can be saved as templates. Templates can be applied to new and existing jobs, and support automation workflows.

Saved templates are listed in Job Properties > Layout > Job Editor Template and can be applied to jobs imported into Command WorkStation.

The Template menu in Job Editor has several options:
  • Save as Template - Allows you to save predefined settings as a template.
  • Manage Template - Allows you to view created templates, organized by name and type. You can filter the view by type (Normal, Step and Repeat, Nesting). You can delete any selected template.
  • Apply Template - Allows you to choose a template from a list of all saved templates and apply the template to a job opened in Job Editor.
Note: In Template Manager, a separate application, you can create templates that are not associated with a specific job.

To open Template Manager, click Create Template in the Layout tab in the following workflows:

  • Creating a preset
  • Creating a virtual printer
  • Creating a Hot Folder
  • Specifying default settings

For more information, see Template Manager.
