Specify color profile settings

Administrators can associate a substrate catalog entry with a color output profile.

Any default or custom Fiery server output profile appears listed by name as a possible substrate catalog attribute.

  1. In the Substrate Catalog window, click Settings in the toolbar.
  2. Specify the substrate catalog setting as either PPD based or JDF based.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Click Add New.
    • To edit an existing catalog entry, select the entry and click the Edit button.
  4. Click the Color Settings tab.

Front color profile - Default color profile applied only to the front side of the media. Select from the list of output profiles in the list. Depending on the job, you can choose either CMYK or CMYK combined with other specified colors, if supported on the Fiery server. You can override this attribute by specifying a different color profile in Job Properties > Color > Output profile. This attribute appears in both the PPD and JDF settings.

Back color profile - Default color profile applied only to the back of the media. Select from the list of output profiles in the list. Depending on the job, you can choose either CMYK or CMYK combined with other specified colors, if supported on the Fiery server. The Back color profile menu also includes the Same as Front option. You can override this attribute by specifying a different color profile in Job Properties. This attribute appears in both the PPD and JDF settings.

  5. Click OK.

The new or modified substrate catalog entry appears under Name in the Substrate Catalog window.
