The Front and Back Overlay feature allows the preview of imposed sheets.

Four imposition styles (Work Style or Printing Method) may be previewed by setting the Overlay option to: Sheetwise, Perfector, Work & Turn, and Work & Tumble.

For most perfector preses, if a duplex job is received with duplex turned on, then the only available Front and Back Overlay option setting will be Perfector.

For duplex presses, the Front and Back Overlay feature will show either the four manual duplexing choices or the imposition style(s) defined by the Duplex print option in the Job Properties window for the raster image.

In all cases, the Front and Back Overlay preview can be disabled by setting the control to Off. The overlay control is for preview purposes only and does not change the duplex setting of the job.

Compare surfaces allows the comparison of any two surfaces in a job.

For Display mode, you can adjust the following settings:

• Continuous tone allows you to choose to preview impositions in true color.
• Custom allows you to select a custom color to preview for each front and back imposition.
• Front opacity allows you to adjust the opacity of the front surface so that the back surface can be seen.
• Back opacity allows you to adjust the opacity of the back surface to control visibility in the preview.
