Create calibration and profile in Express Profiler

To create a calibration and an output profile, you specify the Fiery Server and then print and measure a calibration page and a profiling measurement page.

Settings for printing the calibration and profiling measurement pages are set in Preferences. Check these settings the first time that you use Express Profiler and change them if necessary.
  1. In Color Profiler Suite, start Express Profiler.
  2. In the Welcome window, click Select Fiery Server and select the Fiery Server from the list.

If the Fiery Server is not in the list, click the plus sign to add it using the IP address or by searching.

  3. Type a name for Description and click Next.

This name will be used for the calibration, the output profile, and the virtual printer or server preset that you will create.

  4. Select any job settings needed to print the warm-up pages and the calibration page and click OK.

The same job settings will be used to print the profiling measurement page.

  5. Click OK, retrieve the pages from the printer, and follow the on-screen instructions to measure the calibration page.

A new calibration setting is created.

  6. Click OK, retrieve the profiling measurement page from the printer, and follow the on-screen instructions to measure the page.

After you finish measuring the page, the profile is created and installed on the Fiery Server.

  7. Click Test Print to print a test page using the new profile.
  8. Click Done.

A virtual printer or server preset with the same name as the output profile is created. To print a job using the new output profile and calibration setting, print to this virtual printer or apply the server preset to the job.
