Verify color against a reference

To verify color, you print and measure a measurement page for a specific reference. If the page is already printed, you can skip printing.

  1. In Fiery Color Profiler Suite, click Verify.
  2. Select a reference preset.

If the reference preset that you want is not in the list, click Preferences to add it.

  3. Click Print to print the measurement page, or if you already have a printed measurement page, click Measure and skip the next two steps.
  4. Select a paper size for printing the measurement page or click Custom and specify a custom page size, and then click Print.

The Fiery Server and measurement instrument for printing are set in Preferences.

If you want to skip this step in the future, select Remember settings and do not show dialog again.

  5. Optionally, before printing the measurement page, you can set print options and other settings for sending the page to the printer. Do not change any color management settings.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to measure the page.
  7. When you are done measuring, click Next to view the results.

Verifier displays the reference values compared with the measured values and indicates pass or fail for each value. To record the results, you can print a report or a label. For more information, select Help > Help.
