After measurement data is available, the Summary window displays a summary of information about the measurements and the conditions used to create them. The dE (Delta E) values in the Average Measured Variation or the Maximum Measured Variation fields summarize the variation in measurements of the same color.

If a dE value is displayed in red, it is because the variation appears to be significant. The variation does not necessarily indicate an error, but consider these values for realistic expectations. Your profile cannot be any more accurate than what has been measured.

You may want to produce some test prints to check that the output of your printer is behaving as you expect.

You can also:

• Check for potential problems with the measurement data by viewing the color space that the measurements represent in Profile Inspector.

• View a list of multiple sets of measurement values and add or delete measurement sets to include in the average.
