Calibrate and set up the spectrophotometer
Before measuring monitor output, you must calibrate and set up the spectrophotometer.
Instrument calibration compensates for gradual drifts in the spectrophotometer. The spectrophotometer must be in its cradle, and the sample aperture must be in full contact with the white tile on the cradle. (If its position in the cradle is incorrect, the spectrophotometer returns inaccurate measurements.)
Note: The
serial number on the spectrophotometer and the serial number on
the cradle must match for accurate spectrophotometer calibration.
