Manage notifications

A job's print settings can trigger a notification in Color Verification Assistant. A notification provides additional information that can affect how you interpret test results. You can choose to stop displaying notifications that have already been shown.

If the selected job contains an embedded profile (RGB or CMYK) that the print settings do not override, test results from Color Verification Assistant are not relevant to the job. Color Verification Assistant performs its tests based on the print settings of the job. A job’s print settings do not reflect embedded profiles.

If the CMYK source profile (CMYK simulation profile) is set to None, there is no color management of CMYK objects, although calibration is applied. The output profile is used to determine the expected CMYK measurements.

If the CMYK source profile (CMYK Simulation Profile) is set to ColorWise OFF, there is no color management of CMYK objects and calibration is not applied. No expected CMYK measurements can be calculated, so the test results are unpredictable.

  1. In the notification window, select Show only new notifications to prevent the notification from being displayed again.
  2. To re-enable all notifications for Color Verification Assistant, go to the Tolerances tab in Color Verification Assistant preferences and click Reset All Notifications.
