Status messages
Color Verification Assistant posts status messages about the job and the spectrophotometer.
A status message appears in the following situations:
If there is an error with the spectrophotometer - Because Color Verification Assistant is part of Fiery Color Profiler Suite, you must connect a licensed spectrophotometer to your computer to run Color Verification Assistant.
If the job is not supported - Because PCL jobs do not support CMYK color, Color Verification Assistant does not support PCL jobs. (It is difficult to obtain color accuracy using PCL.)
If the job needs to be processed - A copy of the job is processed to determine its specific Output Profile setting before Color Verification Assistant performs its tests. For example, if the selected job is a mixed-media job or if its Output Profile setting is Use Media Defined Profile, the job is processed.
If the job contains multiple media - For a mixed-media job, select the page or page range that has the print settings that you want to evaluate.
Color Verification Assistant tests only one set of print settings at a time. Selected pages or pages in a page range must all have the same settings. The page selections that you can select from are taken from the job’s Mixed Media settings.
Different media settings might not produce different test results. For example, if only the page size is different, color is not affected.
