Run verification tests

You can start Color Verification Assistant from Command WorkStation when Color Profiler Suite is installed on the same system as Command WorkStation. You do not access Color Verification Assistant from the main window of Color Profiler Suite. Color Verification Assistant does not require Administrator or Operator privileges in Command WorkStation.

  1. In Command WorkStation, connect to the Fiery Server that you want to evaluate.
  2. Select a printed or held job that has the print settings that you want to evaluate, and click Actions > Color Verification.

Make sure to select only one job. Color Verification Assistant cannot be started if multiple jobs are selected.

Color Verification Assistant starts in a separate window.

Note: The Command WorkStation window is not updated while Color Verification Assistant is running. You must exit Color Verification Assistant to continue using Command WorkStation.
  3. If necessary, click Next to process the job.
  4. Select the tests to run:
    • CMYK - Verifies how accurately the printed output matches the output that would be expected for the CMYK source profile.

    • RGB - Verifies how accurately the printed output matches the output that would be expected for the RGB source profile.

    • Output Profile - Verifies how accurately the printed output matches the specified output profile.

    • Printer - Verifies whether the printed output is consistent (repeatable).

    • Measurement Device - Verifies whether the spectrophotometer measurements are consistent (repeatable).

  5. Set the measurement device and any associated settings.
  6. To print the measurement pages, click Next.
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to measure the patch pages, and then view the results.
  8. Click Results next to the test name to see the detailed test results.
  9. In the detailed test results, you can perform other optional tasks.
    • Click the link to Verifier to view the test data in Verifier.
    • Print a label that contains a summary of the test results.
    • Print a report that contains the detailed test results.
