Check Device Linker measurement results and iterate
After you measure a measurement page to optimize a device link profile or a spot color, information about the measurements and the expected values appears. If you are not satisfied with the results, you can iterate (print and measure another page).
Calculated dE (Delta E) values compare measurement values with expected values. For a device link profile, the standard (CMYK source profile) are the expected values. For a spot color, the spot color library provides the appearance (L*a*b*) values. Lower dE values indicate a closer match to the expected color.
For multiple iterations, dE values for all previous measurements appear so that you can see if the match is improving. You may want to delete an iteration if the results do not show any improvement.
- Do one of the following:
If the dE values are acceptable, click Delete next to any iteration that you want to delete, and then click Next to continue and save the results.
If dE values are unacceptable, click Iterate to print and measure again to further optimize the match.
