Processing options for Fiery Edge profiles
Processing options for Fiery Edge profiles to adjust input data and table smoothing, illuminant, and table sizes.
- Click the Advanced settings tab.
-
Set the following values for the
following:
- Measurement data smoothness - Controls the amount of smoothing that is performed on the measurement data used to create the profile. Increase the Smoothness value to smooth out noisy color gamut measurements, such as those from inkjet production printers running at a low resolution. Decrease this control for less noisy printers.
- ICC profile smoothness - Controls the amount of smoothing to the output tables. There are separate controls for Perceptual, Colorimetric, and Saturation. Increase the smoothing for rendering smoother gradients and decrease the smoothing for more accurate color renditions.
- Lookup table size - Determines the number of table entries in the Perceptual, Colorimetric, and Saturation input and output tables. Larger tables produce more accurate color but take longer to calculate and the ICC profiles take up more hard disk space. For critical print-reproduction tasks, increase the output table sizes. For critical proofing tasks, increase the input table sizes.
- Illuminant- Provides a list of standard illuminations. Choose the illuminant that matches the light viewing conditions for your printed output.
- ICC version- Allows you to save the output profile for ICC version 2 or ICC version 4.
- Click Apply to save your selections, click Reset to reset to the default settings, or one of the other tabs.
