Select output color using Profile Cross Section

Profile Cross Section locates the output color in a graphical representation of the output color space.

The color model (Lab or XYZ) that displays the color space is the same as the Profile Connection Space of the profile being edited. The cross-section is a vertical plane of the Lab or XYZ color space where all the colors have the same ratio of a/b or X/Y as the source color.

  1. Click the Eyedropper tool ().
  2. Click the new location for the output color in the color space.

The Edited color marker (filled square) moves to the location that you set. Profile Editor updates the colors close to the edited color (depending on the Range value).
