Determining or switching the profiling engine used for the profile creation

Two profiling engines are supported. You can determine the profiling engine used for the profile creation or switch the profiling engine based on the profile that was imported.

The available profiles are listed in the Settings list under two categories, Fiery Edge Factory Default Profiles or Factory Default Profiles.

The profile that you select in the Settings list in the Apply settings window determines the color profiling workflow that will be used. The user interface displays the options available for the profile you select.

If you import an ICC profile that you created previously with Fiery Color Profiler Suite through Import Settings in the Settings list, then Fiery Color Profiler Suite will switch to the profiling engine that is associated to that profile and the user interface will update accordingly.

You can evaluate the type of profiling engine by clicking the Settings list once more and the profile will either be listed under Fiery Edge Factory Default Profiles (which will use the Fiery Edge profiling engine) or under Factory Default Profiles (which will use the previous non-Fiery Edge profiling engine).
