Print documents as booklets

You can print documents to printers that are equipped with a finisher that can output finished booklets.

You can also print booklets to printers that do not have booklet-finishing capabilities. In this case, you can print documents as booklets but manually finish them. Manual Booklets allows you to create booklets and impose or lay out their content with Fiery VUE even if the printer does not have stapling or folding as finishing options.

Note: Booklets can have mixed page sizes.
Note: When booklet settings are applied to mixed page size documents, the large pages in the document are spread across two adjacent smaller pages, centerfold style. The first page of a booklet cannot use the spread feature because it is a single page and must maintain the size of the smaller page. To view a document spread, use Finished view mode.
  1. Start Fiery VUE.
  2. Connect to a printer that has finishing capabilities, such as punching, stapling, or folding.
  3. Add a file.
  4. Specify page and finishing options.
  5. Click the Print button to print the Fiery VUE session to the designated printer.

The document prints as a finished booklet.
