Use templates

Templates combine available finishing features with layout features into a single selection that is available in Fiery VUE and in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Templates can include all settings available in Fiery VUE only, not third-party application specific options.

User defined templates will display a user icon to differentiate them from the default templates.

You can create and manage your own templates or use default templates.

Create a new template

You can create a template that combines available finishing features with layout features into a single selection.

  1. Click Templates > Save as Template to open the Save as Template dialog box.
  2. Type a name for the template in the Name field.
  3. Click Save to save the new template and exit the Save as Template dialog box.

The new template is shown in the Name list.

Delete a template

You can delete a template.

Click Templates, select a template from the list, and then click Delete.
Note: Default templates cannot be deleted.

When you select a specific template, Fiery VUE automatically applies all of the settings in that template to the current Fiery VUE document.

Open a template

You can select a template to apply to the document.

  1. Open a document.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Click the My Templates button in the Tools pane to open the pop-up menu, and select a template from the list. It is applied automatically to the selected document.
