Before you add a printer, make sure you have the DNS name or IP address of the printer. If you do not have the DNS name or the IP address, you can use Advanced Auto Search to find an available printer.

1. Click Printer > Manage Printers, and then click Add to display the Connect to Printer dialog box.
2. Type the IP address or DNS name for the printer in the Type a printer name or IP address field, and then click Next to add it to the list of printers.
